WEST SIDE ESTATE IS A TRUE ESTATE PROPERTY FEATURING AN INDOOR POOL, PRIME WHALE WATCHING AND VIEWS BEYOND COMPARE!

The main house features a combined living room, dining room, and kitchen area. The large leather sectional faces a beautiful stone fireplace and enjoys patio window views of Haro Strait. The dining room table sits in a pocket of windows with cathedral ceiling above and features the 180 degree water view. Several stools along the kitchen counter make a great breakfast bar as you prepare your morning eggs and pancakes on a commercial-style gas range. Above the lower portion of the Great Room is a loft that is a perfect spot to curl up watching a good movie on the large flat screen TV.

The main floor features a master bedroom with king size bed and a bathroom that includes a walk-in shower. Full beds in each of the two upstairs guest bedrooms round out the main house sleeping arrangements. The upstairs bathroom features a claw style bathtub and walk-in shower.

There is also a detached guest house with a full bed and its own bath, separated from the main house by the pool building.

A main attraction for your stay at West Side Estate will no doubt be the pool house featuring a large swimming pool, a hot tub and sauna. A basketball court is located between the garden and pool house which puts this home over the top as far as special amenities.The waterfront area has tide pools to explore at low tide and is the best venue too for the whales that often swim by and feed along the western side of San Juan Island!

We have rented this home in the past and were excited to return. We were greeted by a deer, geese and a host of issues upon arriving. The small guest house did not have hot water(never turned on) it took a full day and a 1/2 to get property management to respond, glad it was not an emergency. The pool was not ready at all, dirty and could not re track the cover, waited again finally 3 days later it was removed but the "heated pool" was not above 68 the entire stay, could not use. We received $300 of that back. The hot tub was not ready and would not hold a heat, after a couple days it did. This house is beyond beautiful it is ashame that it is not property cleaned. If you are cleaning this home weekly then it would not have the dust and cob weds that it does. The animals are the best, they greet you several times a day and the neighbors dog whom we remembered from last time is a pure pleasure. The seals are out on the rocks daily but the whales are not. We were disappointed, our last visit they put on a show every evening but apparently they are not swimming thru due to the salmon. We seen them once during our 6 days. So to wrap it up the San Juan Islands did not disappoint, it is a truly magical place but the home did, this time.

Magical. This is a home my wife and I built 30 years ago. The main house looks mostly just as we left it 23 years ago. The additions and improvements that have been made since are spot on in design and good taste and have enhanced this

We had a great time in a beautiful, well equipped, and perfect location home. Not only was it convenient to town with great views, ideal for site seeing wild animals including whales that entertained us for 4 hours.

We were two families both with small kids and the property could not have been better. Plenty of space for all and easy to have our little guy nap while the other kids played outside or swam in the pool. We also loved how clearly a chef owns the place with the huge BBQ, high end stove and oven, and every pot & pan & cooking tool you could ever need! That was a real bonus for us. Location is absolutely stunning and situated almost equal distance between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. Perfect location for day trips around the island and a bit of quiet each evening. Perfect for a family (or two!).

We had 9 adults and an infant in our group and the West Side Estate accommodated our group perfectly. We had plenty of room for both gatherings and privacy. The front deck is very spacious and we spent much of our time enjoying the beautiful view.

We enjoyed kayaking out of Snug Harbor with Crystal Sea Kayaking, eating at The Madrona Grill and Bar in Roche Harbor and Downriggers in Friday Harbor. Not to be missed is a visit to Wescott Bay Shellfish Co. We learned how to shuck an oyster and ate plenty of them! Friday Harbor has an excellent Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

We had a a couple of minor issues and the rental manager was quick to respond and rectify.

The house is well stocked and very comfortable. We would definitely rent this property again and recommend it to other large groups.
